about

For the first ten years that I played guitar I was mainly concerned with rocking -- to varying degrees of hardness. When my longtime band broke up in 2000 I shifted my focus to playing solo and acoustic and started to become more comfortable being classified by the F word. I'd get threatened with evictions when I tried to practice and write in my apartment so I used to bring my guitar to the back of the grocery store across the street on Commonwealth Avenue (then Star Market, now Shaw's). This album was supposed to be called Rock Star Market but it didn't feel right. In retrospect, neither does Folk U. Oh well, you can't please everybody.

about

Aaron Spacemuseum Los Angeles, California

Spacemuseum's sound could be called "Elliott Smith meets Elvis Costello meets Ray Davies meets Paul Westerberg."

This, however, would be a ridiculous description.
